Introduction

Allied to some work in the past and not feeling the idiot or lunatic or menace or, well I am not so forward thinking as to be so capable on my own, but is that so unusual. Still I digress, I circle round and am come back to my compassion for people.

So what is this tutor you are on about

It takes a lot of confidence to advertise to be someone’s tutor. Teaching is largely organised in order that standards and expectations are easier to manage. For tutoring the expectations of what can be achieved are already out there. To set yourself a subject to learn from a tutor is unique to you but the standard is already guessed at and not set by a lone worker. To be able to assist or support as the tutor do I need to be the best, capable on my own?

What ability is required to make you a tutor rather than just another in the crowd of enthusiasts?

Can I stand with the community of teachers who generally have been taught to represent a profession. They would say no but have not been expected to rise above it or stand alone. It is a union profession, from the start now I would say but I am more marginalised by society than teaching to have the feeling they would disagree more. It is more that I like to debate and don't find myself in the position to get answers to my questions.

My will to learn and use skills suggest to me there is a lot of problems with diversity in society. It is hard to get empathy on any subject today. If I don't stand out but wish to teach/tutor I am quite stuck in my own pride really. Is it is better to be learning well or be thoroughly convinced than to compete for acceptance. Self confidence about something is surely competence in that subject but social confidence is the only way to test that knowledge?

Thus my method is on the one hand to know the subject well and on the other how to study by interest and belief. The challenge of meaning, deeper understanding that comes when you no longer get by on peer acceptance but have to find out how much you want something to stand.

Teaching has an element that will depend upon being nationally qualified or a part of a company. Teaching is not only skill in the subject or how to teach but self confidence in learning, genuine interest with further independent learning. My first work opportunities served this too. Instead of accepting what I had, as soon as I started to think about it I took myself out of Outdoor Pursuits with the intention to learn more to bring back more. Perhaps I did not feel part of the company or the national qualifications but the feeling of wanting, a union without where ideas or shared and knowledge is held higher than group identity

While it seemed important not to become lost in the whole thing as enough in itself the guidance was not there to keep me interested. A fait complet I was not assumed to need any more than I had got. So they lost me, competed with each other at how quickly they could be rid. My first lucky landing outside of this career was in land management where I learnt quickly to my own surprise. Sometimes even knowledge that you cherish in advance comes by surprise. The books were still there but they made sense and impossible subjects that had unhelpfully remained difficult were now easy to understand. The jobs were well planned so it made business sense also and I was in the company of people who knew what they were talking about. I think in part this is due to the pressure of the job market being less in the countryside at the time. This aim of learning has not delivered in most employment and I have found low learning interest among colleagues. So my inner voice has loudly said that private learning time is important and I have learnt how to be up to date by planned study. To be able to find the right sources by asking around, ideally to be sociable or widely connected is more fortunate than likely. It is better to dedicate the time and then start asking as surprisingly large numbers of people treat knowledge as power and jealously hoard what they know to the extend of sending you on strange journeys to nowhere.

Tutor related Work Experience

From residential work, assisting professionally with group learning over about 2 and a half years I know I have a decent chance of getting on well people by experience. With another 3 years in the hospitality industry I also know that when it is not my position to be friendly then that is a big factor in my conversational skills. Your actual job really makes a difference unless you just ignore it and make all things fit to you. I have not been taken up for work in Outdoor Pursuits for too long recently but my overall experience and interest in learning is still filling me with confidence to offer skills tuition. It has had time to be overtaken by the related interests and I have in turn been pleased as they were what I wanted to bring back in. Art interest and passionate desire to succeed in visual representation is a technical challenge found in leisure.

Flora and geology knowledge, an interest in things which as the habitat gets thin it compels you to go further away from bread and butter.

Accidentally more time as a solo sole trader gardener has united the time walking the hills with many questions about the green belt in the managed environment for a hillwalker which the tree planting job of 4 winters gave me the head start in understanding large scale Estate and countryside management. I would prefer to walk for miles across the wild national parks but am dedicated to the inheritance of good management that has started to suffer in the face of modernity even in this temperate climate. It is very subtle though. If you can complain about land management, ownership, the direction of society and have a great day walking in the same day is it true you have two separate events going on or surely it would not be possible to dispute your pleasure in several places in the globe. My good fortune to have been taught how to be a Mountain Leader means I take it as a challenge to communicate a love for wild places in a managed way for recreation. It can make us as naturally interesting and mysterious as them to go there and share the enjoyment. Certainly the countyside gets bigger every time you go out despite in fact in some way that we can reach 90% of every point in Britain at our leisure. It is worthwhile working in a larger leisure industry, considering how to promote rurual tourism in local communities.

Study subjects- Art, digital and traditional

From arranging my own art ideas as well as rota sessions I started learning how to edit the presentation of art, news and web articles according to who is interested. Presentation and sharing can aid informal learning and does not need to be presented as public information or publicity but can be personally rearranged. This can even be done at zero storage space in the digital age. Art is a good way of record keeping. Photography, historical notes or art references are a good way of understanding and learning about your more footloose or adventurous times. Even what is not precise due to the nature of art it is memorable. It will still come back to mind with writing or pictures reminding you of the best of days. I made an effort to make a personal artistic impression as a way of sharing time with people I work with and even just for me I will remember why a picture was made and how it was or was not received. I have been involved in Art groups and Art clubs and with exchanges of pictures as well as purchases and some interest in sales, of course if the interest picks up there I would re-invest the time I say to myself. Like other things the right price counts and I think in art people are saved from themselves by not being obliged to work so hard for the buyer. Or is it so easy since they fall hook line and sinker for something out of reach making the higher price really work for some people. I have found it dramatically different what works or not between different people but often it is the same artwork. Also I find in a professional environment my work is received better if it is my job so I am unfortunate that this has only been the case for short periods of time and I did not realise the competitiveness for the post.

Setting a project may be hard, but if something can be done then the way to do it may be there for you. All projects need an aim unless you are lucky enough to be on a salary for attendance. Unless you really are on a quest it is not good to come out disappointed. I know of so many days walking or cycling to a place that I climbed poorly, made only what seemed a terrible sketch at the time. They are immeasurably better than a day without a mission however and always had a redeeming feature to them. Also they were usually part of the project than a key day.

Subject interest or correct behavior?

I don’t historically make a lot of money so you may find I am better suited to passing on my task based jobs experience. I was made the local superviser when a cleaner but this was rather quickly and superficial. Those jobs are about making money from labour and planning is important for you but not the client. They expect a certain standard that can be seen or judged without experience of doing the job themselves from experience. In a bigger company supervising or leading is managing rather than tutoring. Generally a teacher is expected to make competence something sought after in a job-market or in your chosen subject. My willingness to undertake tutoring is that I self-teach all the time. Though changing subject like job many times I have a good memory due to the conscientious effort, some luck too, but mainly intent. Like I described art above, I made it but it stands that I made art not an invention. It is not something new. Art and writing turn out to be a very important subject if you wish to keep your personal memories. So presentation practice will make you more skillful in diary keeping and the best days of your life will boost you when you are unsure you can compete. Further study has made me mentally active as well as fit with a broad range of interests. That gives me confidence in a group that I can contribute.I know my limits better and when a project is not up to much I do not lose heart but keep an analytical mind attempting to make it better. Since I am always self-sudying this is something which I will contribute at work without just setting off hoping someone else knows what they are doing on my behalf.

No. Training for how to use the digital interface? Again it is study based. I like art here.

The internet is a difficult place to work. However I like being target orientated, hanging in there, waiting but still having another shot. As I now have a pc that works well it is finally making my old and affordable yet now good software operate properly. Nobody I met has been able or interested to make this possible. This has really demonstrated the marketplace can be a very poor place to learn. But the internet of things has finally provided the information that I needed. Outside of highly funded teaching sources, low quality information makes it important to rethink honesty. Expensive product markets have really created a large knock-on effect. We are in a hit and miss culture straight from the sales team, not from a knocked off dealer but all areas. I was brought up at the end of a period of the invoice for all purchasers. Now it is consumers rights after purchase and if you don't need it then that receipt might get lost and often you have lost money. Even with the receipt many sales teams have a shameless philosophy based on the latest way to equate more money to more honesty and no comeback if they can get away with it.

I had got on with learning anyway. It did matter that advice was short and technology was not compatible or sold as I had purchased it. With a lot of time spent editing am able to do this quickly cross-platform. It is quicker in house but the bills are going up aren't they. Companies have been investing and writing off costs against profits which you cannot do if you are only researching and hoping to get the first foot on the ladder. We had things to say about kids with £70 trainers when I was at school but the technological growth sees easily a bigger proportiion of kids on £500 phones. I have learnt a lot storing carefully so do not lose things. Hopefully this website will look good too as a sign that from 3 months of self-study from some prompts and lessons from internet teachers I am in the information market as a capable surfer. Years of filing can be formed into a decent, detailed and accessible web understanding by being quick at reading instructions. To have a job making another site would certainly interest me.

Apart from not having good experience of gaining wealth, I have not gained respect when trying to gain multi-trade experience. It is working with the single career group I believe I been knocked the most when I have lost my confidence. The trades, where quality comes above profit did not help me find except to do the non-quality work. It is ironic that by wanting to learn more widely you can stumble so much and with such opposition. However I do not think of lost years but gained confidence. From being in the way, noticed and strong to my own efforts and sometimes appreciated as a character I have still been a good record keeper and self-improver. Recommended courses are languages without long paying commitment, group classes but at £100 a week instead of the near compulsory £500. Also you should choose what you want to learn rather than should unless you have skills there already. Casually picking a course is unhelpful as you need to be choosey and may need to pay which will not mean you got the right course at all just because of the cost.

Recently the bigger Europe was going very non-green and also getting a job was very hard. I still hoped for non-Brexit but did consider the market was becoming the worst complete rip-off far beyond my understanding. International mini-unions were disguising just how much money was being fenced between HMRC and big companies were using middle players who seemed to have incentives instead of value the good of the businesses. They are making money in the name of the next generation but have not been paying attention to rising costs of shrinking truths and it is frequently a nightmare getting independent work, lies making jobs mundane and duplicate each other since economic value had somehow gone. Were we who were lucky in self-employment paid from businesses that were buying each other just to save their management team temporarily before buying another business or sub-contracting operation?

Duty of Care

Working with people on a relationship basis has a ‘duty of care’. This exists in a personal way but professionally is expanded for staff and client relationships by sector, trade or profession. Additional to my basic awareness I have multi-industry experience so this really leads me to consider a wide range of feelings when confronted with how to behave. Across many professions I have completed numerous personal Health and Safety work training efforts. I have mostly updated a First Aid Award with only a few spaces for over 30 years. 18 months as kitchen porter I took the level 2 Food and Hygiene certificate. A year as a cleaner make me aware of the responsibility and professional methods to a paid clean environment. Each of many building sites has had a Health and Safety brief and I have also held certification. My duty of care has experience doing all these manual jobs. It is fair to expect someone to care for what they are aware of. Duty of care does not have passing the buck in my eyes. All people need to play a role rather than having a policing attitude where some are in charge but others are not important enough. However a workplace is not an equal environment for responsibility so it is safe to say that you have to follow the rules and being stupid is regularly the best way to be there next week.

Profile

I am widely travelled, my climbing trips and weekends to the hills making me overall quite footloose from my late teens into mid-thirties. I did not want this to change but had decided to resolve some of the mysteries of what made such activities vital for me rather than just treat it as my niche. As time goes on I find the experience of 3 cities and 6 villages quite pivotal to my self-belief when under siege for misunderstanding. My most consistent pastime has been cycling, sometimes with a bike owned in places where no other aquaintances had brought one. I have toured and journeyed and can repair and alter them quite efficiently. I had fully 20 years without a TV screen in my house or of much interest in shared houses, gradually over the next 10 years incursions of internet media but still now no TV after the last 5 years being admittedly pretty screen conscious. It has perhaps shaped me as I do like celebrities and start to know their characters from front pages and stories instead of acting. Then again I have from youth enjoyed biographies and easily find empathy in others especially if they have a story to tell. I am competitive but in order to win peace will lose unwisely or choose fun and am attentive to this. I like athletics and sporting heroes, also their life stories, again. I think health is not primarily a doctors concern and have looked to into holistic and complementary treatments with a lot of success though less now due to other studies and poor general public uptake motivating me to save some brain cells and having felt like an icon. It took a lot of energy to be self-treating when most use only the local network of GP’s and I wanted to reset and be in the mainstream where after all I need to gain my income
